Interpol es una banda neoyorquina de rock indie formada en 1998. Su álbum de debut, llamado Turn on the Bright Lights, fue aclamado por la crítica, así también como su sucesor Antics. Los miembros de la banda son:

* Paul Banks - vocales, guitarra
* Carlos Dengler - bajo y sintetizador
* Sam Fogarino - batería
* Daniel Kessler - guitarra y coros

En su primer álbum, tuvieron un sonido oscuro e hipnótico, mientras que su segundo da un sonido más ligero y digerible. Han sido comparados con Joy Division, por su música y por el uso del eco.

La banda se formó cuando el guitarrista Daniel Kessler conoció a Greg Drudy —batería— en el campus de la Universidad de Nueva York. Kessler agregó a Carlos Dengler —un ex-guitarrista que se pasaría al bajo— después de conocerlo en una clase de historia. La alineación estaba completa cuando Kessler recordó a un amigo que conoció en Paris, el británico Paul Banks, que así se convirtió en el vocalista principal de Interpol. En 2000 Greg dejó la banda, para después unirse con Sam, quien conoció su trabajo en una tienda de discos local.

La crítica musical los ha etiquetado como de estilo retro-rock o revival rock. Interpol tiene un estilo de rock oscuro, de raíces claramente ochenteras, a caballo entre el pop plúmbeo y existencialista de los ingleses Joy Division y Bauhaus y la vertiente más sucia del rock independiente americano de Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr o, sobre todo, Pearl Jam. También podemos señalar la influencia de los Pixies, en los neoyorkinos, principalmente en la manera de afrontar la creación musical.

Historia:
Su historia comienza en 1998, cuando Drudy y Kessler se conocieron en la Universidad de Nueva York, incorporándose después Fogarino y Dengler. Cuando necesitaron un vocalista, recurrieron a un viejo amigo británico, Paul Banks.

Tras dos años de actuaciones por el circuito alternativo de Nueva York y sus alrededores, publicaron el EP Interpol (2000), con la compañía Fukd, firma underground de la Chemikal.

Un año después, tras asistir al famoso programa inglés de la BBC de John Peel, despegan definitivamente, firmando con el sello Matador. Con esta compañía editan a finales de 2002 un EP homónimo como adelanto de su debut en largo, Turn On the Bright Lights (2002, Matador). Más tarde lanzaron otro EP, The Black (2003), con la compañía EMI.

Cabe destacar ademas, la creación de un disco llamado Peel sesions con versiones alternativas de temas como 'Hands away'.

Legacy Cell -- Combina sintetizadores y efectos en un único sintetizador

LegacyCell de Korg es una estructura de combinación basada en software quepermite la combinación de los sintetizadores (MS-20 + Polysix, 2 MS-20,2 Polysix, 1 MS-20, o 1 Polysix) con 2 efectos de inserción y 2 efectosmaster, en un único instrumento que ofrece un nuevo sonido y textura(hay disponibles 19 algoritmos de efectos para la inserción o comoefectos master). MS-20FXpermite al MS-20 ser usado como procesador de efectos, reproduciendoaudio por sus filtros y modulación. MDE-X permite que los 19 efectosLegacy Cell estén disponibles como efectos plug-ins. Estos pueden serusados como efectos plug-in VST/Audio Units en programas compatibles.
